This week we talk about the Turpin family. The parents have thirteen children and consistently abuse them. The children don’t go to school, bathe or have access to food. After years of abuse and being chained to their bed, one sibling gets the course to jump out their bedroom window and calls for help. We also talk about Eric Merda, a man attacked by an alligator. This week we talk about Morgan Scott, a young woman driving to work and gets hit by another car. The driver tries to flee and she takes a photo of the car. The driver backs up and runs her over. We also talk about Terry Jo, an eleven year old sailing with her family on vacation. In the middle of the night she hears yelling and the ship is sinking. This week we talk about Abby Hernandez, a teen walking home from school and accepts a ride from a friendly looking man. Within minutes he pulls out a gun and kidnaps her to a shed 30 miles away. We also talk about Darcy Bishop. She is a caretaker for her brothers who have cerebral palsy. Hurricane Ian hits Florida and they are trapped in their home as water is pouring in. This week we talk about Matt Mina, a teenager enjoying a beach day with friends and family. They dig a 6ft hole in the sand and as Matt was continuing to dig, the hole collapses and buries him alive. We also talk about Jason Storie, a caver climbing down a 300ft deep cave with a group of friends. It starts to rain and certain spots of the cave are starting to fill up trapping him below. This week we talk about Donna Ongsiako, a mother living on a flower farm in the middle of nowhere. Late one night she is face to face with a stranger at her door with a 10 inch knife. She gets stabbed several times and is losing blood fast. We also talk about Dana Reinhardt. She takes her grandmother to a garden party for the ACLU of Southern California. This week we talk about Susan King, a 62 year old foraging for mushrooms in her backyard. She sees a new kind of mushroom she is not familiar with, but decides to try it anyways. In less that 24 hours, she is in the hospital fighting for her life. We also talk about friends Robyn Bodine and Tracie Shoe, who go to New Mexico on a birthday trip. They take the scenery routine to the airport, but the heat has melted the ground and they are stuck. They search for cell service and find themselves lost in the woods.
